Recruited to help with regional-wide desktop support. Establish a relationship with all users and managers. Help with prevention of issues/problems, helped within all areas of desktop support. Veritas Netbackup, NT Server Administrator Asst. Support Windows 2000/NT servers in Enterprise Domain environment; provide support for MS Exchange, NT Server, Citrix Server (WinFrame) and NT Server 3.51. Assist end users with computer related issues.
Key Contributions:
Responsibilities included but not limited to: desktop support, hardware and software install and configurations, maintaining our “trouble ticketing queue”, creating databases, spreadsheets, create update and maintain our local Intranet (webmaster/admin). LAN/WAN support, Exchange support. Add/remove computers from the domain via Active Directory Users and Computers Admin Tool. Install network printers add them to the domain; install pc’s add them to the domain. Help with “new store” setups, help with new server setup. Take care of the entire state of Arkansas IT (information technology) desktop wise.
QUALCHOICE/QCA 1998 – 2000

Hired on in the “systems” dept. Began doing spreadsheets, large print jobs, working in their information database.
Quickly moved on to helping create their intranet and helping with the internet site as well.
Began learning the “in’s and out’s” of pc hardware. Promoted to pc hardware tech and also helpdesk tech. Solved both hardware and software problems and some network issues.
In my spare time there began working with the Network Admin and learned the structure of a Windows NT LAN. Ended up supporting end-users, servers, exchange server, user accts, adding and removing computers, users, and printers to the network.

New Horizons (tech school)
Microsoft Systems Classes – Classes to obtain MCSE. Was funded by work (Cingular) but the college came into financial and other problems and filed bankruptcy. None of the 4 of us going had the chance to complete the course and test.
